Attorney Gail E. Mattey Joins Lake Harriet Law Office

Associate Attorney Gail E. Mattey earned her J.D. from the University of Minnesota Law School in 2008, and her Honors B.A in Biological Sciences with a minor in Psychology from the University of Delaware in 2003.  Gail represents clients in a variety of Family Law matters including Divorce, Child Custody and Support Issues, Parenting Time, Property Division, Spousal Maintenance, Family Mediation, and Orders for Protection.

After graduating law school, Gail spent seven years in Hennepin County District Court, culminating in five years as a Law Clerk in Family Court under Judge James T. Swenson and Judge Philip C. Carruthers.  Gail’s years with the court have provided her with invaluable experience navigating the court system, and her five years in Family Court have provided her with an unparalleled depth and breadth of knowledge of Family Law to enable her to strongly advocate for her clients in all Family Law related matters.  Gail’s strong sense of empathy and compassion enables her to connect with her clients, while her strong analytical reasoning and thorough knowledge of the law enables her to act as an effective advocate as she guides clients through the intimidating court process.

Gail is a strong believer in alternative dispute resolution, and will work with clients to amicably settle their disputes to minimize the acrimony involved in the legal process.  However, should alternative dispute resolution fail, she is not shy to pursue litigation and will zealously advocate for her clients before the Judge and seek the assistance of the court when needed.  Gail’s dual approach to resolving cases enables her to tailor her strategy to meet the unique needs of each individual client, resolving matters efficiently and effectively.

Lake Harriet Law Office represents Divorce and Family Law clients in Minneapolis, Bloomington, Edina, Golden Valley, Hopkins, St. Paul, Wayzata, Hennepin County, Ramsey County, Anoka County, Scott County, Washington County, Wright County and throughout the Twin Cities.
