Child Issues

In contested cases involving Child Custody or Parenting Time, a Social Early Neutral Evaluation (SENE) or Custody and Parenting Time Evaluation may be conducted to determine what is in the best interests of the minor children; the assistance of a Psychologist or Social Worker is common in High Conflict cases. Children should not be exposed to conflict during a Divorce or Family Law case.

A custody evaluation is sometimes required to aid the Court in making a custody decision that is in the best interests of the minor child or children. As with any process, the person conducting the custody evaluation has discretion, and the output is dictated by that person’s own unique background, education and work experience.
