Divorce – Hennepin County
Divorce cases are frequently complicated and require detailed, experienced legal representation in order to provide the best opportunity for an equitable resolution of the contested issues.
Some of the primary areas of disagreement during Divorce include Child Custody, Parenting Time, Property Division and Spousal Maintenance.
Zealous legal representation is often required in Family Law cases, however, Mediation can also be an effective tool in resolving contested issues.
Hennepin County, in particular, has a well developed Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) process that may include the use of Early Neutral Evaluation (Social ENE and/or Financial ENE) and also Family Mediation; in some cases, a Moderated Settlement Conference may be a viable and useful option for parties that are approaching a Trial date.
If the parties can’t agree on how to resolve certain issues, the assigned Hennepin County Judge or Referee will make decisions for the parties.
In some cases, the parties resolve some or all of their disputes at a Trial, where the outcome is never predictable, and the decision of the Court is sometimes appealed.
It is important to have an experienced attorney who can effectively advocate your position and who can properly address complex legal issues during the case.
Our goal is to provide you with the highest-quality legal representation, and to make sure that you are well-informed throughout the entire legal process – from the beginning of your case until the conclusion of your case.
